Quick Guide to Decontamination Quick Guide to Decontamination The following reference guide shows benefits of the differeing mould
risk reduction programs we offer.
This quick reference lists some of benefits and shortfalls of individual treatments
The protocols shown are used internationally and I believe to be the best options available
You will note we constantly use the term risk reduction instead of DECONTAMINATION. Decontamination is extremely expensive and costs can be above £100,000 and this is based on regognised evidence form organisations such as International Association of Enviornmentally Aquired Illness. Even at these costs they suggest decontamination usually fails the first time.
The treatments and protocols we offer may not suit everyone but helath improvement from building related illness is unlikely unless some form of risk reduction is undertaken
Discounts When two or more protocols are used we offer 25% discount off the second lower cost treatment.

The following protocols are based on Revision 6 paper:
Protocol number
Risk reduction name
Benefits and shortfalls
Average Cost
1
Mechanical
Can be slow as
differeing buyancy of partilces causes stratification. Generally used fo
localised control of dust
2
Chemical
Hydrogen
Peroxide & Quat
This is a
professional grade solution and can provide stand alone benefits. Most
effective of chemical treatments for air and surfaces. May require post
treatment wipe down. No entry for 5 hours post treatment
£1400
3
Chemical electrically charged
Bio Stat
Very useful in
properties that require long term surface defence or have isolated relatively
low level airborne contamination. No entry 4 hours post treatment (hypo-allergenic)
£1200
4
Electostatic
These machines
can provide fast effective air sanitation . Drawbacks they produce a little
ozone as a by- product of electrical discharge which some people can react
to.
Variable due
to delivery area
5
Medically sound remediation
This is the
only air cleaning protocol recognised
by the USA medical fraternity who specialise in mould illness. Removes
airborne spores, fragments and hypae. Very fast process but requires simple
post treatment surface cleaning (by others)
£1400
6
Eco safe
This is the
safest of all protocols and uses the same chemical as the human body uses to
fight infection. Process is fast (less than 1 hour and immediate entry
First choice
for low budget, good results but limited results in heavily contaminated homes although risk
reduction confirmed
£800
7
OZONE
The most
hazardous of our treatments and can only be used in unoccupied properties.
The ozone gas is an oxidising agent that we manipulate to form Hydrogen peroxide. Very good results but
can take 48 hours and no entry for extended period depending on chemical decay
(half life) and levels produced. Used more for commercail or large detached
homes
£3,500
8
Mycotoxin
Removal
This is a
combination of protocols designed to tease out the semi volatile mycotoxins
and VOCs.
Used for
expensive clothes and accessories , soft furnishings. Costs vary depneding on
whether we are on site with other protocols
£2000
DISCOUNTS When two or more protocols are used we offer 25% discount off the second lower
cost treatment.
All costs plus VAT and
possible travel supplements
